I just purchased a new Macbook with Leopard already installed on it. My question is regarding Internet security. Currently all settings are the default ones from the factory so I have not changed anything. When I attempted to upload a 120KB photo to ebay for an auction I was working on the system just stalled and looked like it was attempting to upload it but it will not. The strange thing is that it will just sit there looking like it is uploading but it never times out or gives an error message. I have ordered a Leopard book that would probably address this question but it has not yet arrived from our friends at Amazon. Any ideas?

Thanks

Could be many things...

- bad connection, timeout?
- firewall settings?
- router settings?

Did you try again?

Yes, I certainly tried numerous times. Unfortunately it was always the same response. I finally had to transfer the image to my G5 to upload it with no problem. I will have to make an attempt to upload to other sites using the Macbook to see if it is something with MAC/Safari/Leopard security settings. I was using Firefox on my G5 because I have not performed the upgrade to the new version 3 of Safari.

Thanks

Any solutions yet?

Which browser were/are you working in on your MacBook? Safari (pre v.3) on 10.4.x on my TiBook hasn't always played well with eBay.
