Machine is a bit slow, specially the start up and the shut down process.
istat pro shows under processes that there is an application called "i250" that is constantly using 20 to 85 %, even though all application are closed!?
Someone showed me how to restart the computer in some basic mode and "i250" disappears!?
Tried to find this "i250" that makes my machine unnecessary work, but there is no application called that name, fully searched the whole computer!?
even changed in the terminal to show all the hidden files and applications, still no result!?
Deleted all canon related stuff first manually and with "appdelete", but still misterious "i250" is using up to 85%!?
If anyone knows what this "i250" is and how to get rid of it, I am very thankfully!?
Thanks
Florian

You could try this...At the shell: ps -ax

Find the PID # of the i250 process and type: kill # (where # is the PID)

That will kill the offending process, but it will start up on next reboot. I have not seen this printer so I am not sure exactly how to disable the process. I posted to the other thread a way to find what rc.d file is staring the process. Hopefully that will shed some light on what cannon is doing.
