basically what steven said. And, I think a laptop (but thinner) sized iphone type thing would be awesome. No keyboard. Use your hands or the included pen. Less than an inch thick - just like you took the screen off of a macbook or macbook pro (but thicker) with OS X "Touch" included. Imagine moving your fingers over the dock............... NO KEYBOARD OR MOUSE!!!:drool:

We'll see bumped Mac Pros surrounding the weeks of the event, although Steve probably won't mention it on-stage.

As for the event itself:
-A sub-device of some sort (Mini MacBook/Touch device/who knows...)
-iTunes Rentals along with possible mention of the record deal (probably not phrased as a "record label").
-Demo of Mac Office '08 from Mac BU.

Bear in mind 2 things though:
1) One more things...are rarely guessed.
2)Apple often does exactly the opposite of what you expect them to do (ultimate unpredictability with events).

P.S My personal longshot product for 2008 or 2009: a pro-sumer web development app.

Hmm. I suck at guessing , but some kind of Touchscreen Laptop, Larger Hardrive for iPod touch, and a new and improved apple TV.

- iPhone SDK preview (yay!)
- a sub-notebook like the leaked tablet rumor or something equally cool that finally makes use of flash memory
- definitely some l4m3 iTunes announcement to further hit home the fact that Apple is making hordes of cash with iTunes.
- Hopefully an announcement on iPhone availability in Asia/Canada. Some word on language support would be nice.
- I'm reaaaally hoping for an announcement on revised minis.
- If there is mention of ATV 2.0 I will be more than a bit disgustipated.

I expect and hope for an iPhone preview and updated MBP's, ideally in the same vein of a thin sub-notebook form factor.

Sorry Miles, but I'm pretty sure the Apple TV will get a big mention at Macworld. Same with the Mac mini. If either one isn't updated I think we can expect a slow quiet demise like the eMac had.

I'm only bitter because I bought the ATV thinking it could play HD content (1080p) only to discover that will it not only NOT play HD but it's also pretty much useless without the hacks the community has thrown together (and Apple has thwarted). So Apple figuring out a way to force more iTunes content on us via a new HD enabled ATV is not going to get any love from me.
