I just bought my IMac and need to hook up to a wireless printer. Don't know exactly how would be the best way to do so. Any advice would be a big help. Thanks!
Just plug it in! ...Well almost. After it's plugged in goto System Preferences --> Print & fax and click the little + to add a printer. If it's a new printer you should be able to follow the prompts and get the driver loaded. Much more elegant than Windows!

This may seem redundant but I have a I Mac & a mac book pro. I have everything set up wirelessly my computers PS3 and my WII but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to set up my printer wirelessly. I want to be able to print with out having to plug in the imac or the laptop. Is this possible with out a print server?

Hi Everybody,
I have just started using a Mac and need some help in getting my wireless print server to work with my Mac. I am using a Netgear WGPS606 print server and HP Officejet 5610 All in One printer.
Have read various posts on how to work with a print server - steps are fairly clear..however:
When I go Print & Fax and then click on + to add new printer, I am unable to see my printer in the drop down list under HP. I installed the printer to my Mac using the CD that came with the machine. I can see the printer as a USB printer - not when I try and set it up thru the wireless print server.
The Mac is detecting the Print Server as I can ping it thru Terminal.
Any help would be very much appreciated. I have already spent quite some time with Netgear Tech Support as well as HP (where I was hold for over 30 mins listening to how important my call was to them......before I gave up)
Thanks

lol.. hp.. go figure...
Since you can ping your wireless printer I dont think the folks at netgear can help you cause traffic does seem to be going through from each node.
Have you tried to disable your software firewall on your mac? If you have access to your router config maybe theres something permitting that port from communicating. Let us know if you are still experiencing problems.
