I have seen a few widgets in my ‘Mac’ time and I am always on the look out for more to improve my Mac experience so please let me know of any Widgets that you think are cool!

One I have found is viewmy.tv. It means you can watch live streaming TV on, available 24/7 straight from the dashboard!

www.viewmy.tv has thousands of channels from the UK and across the globe so there is something for everyone at any time of the day. All this is completely free and is great for me when I am at work or wherever I have a broadband connection so I never miss my favourite TV programmes! The site never crashes and the stream hardly ever seems to break up too which are very common on other sites.

I just though this would be helpful seems as most of us are out of our homes for most of the day and it is a great device for watching all your favourite TV on.

I really enjoy the new Movies widget that's included with leopard, the ability to look up the times, prices, and watch the trailer all in the dashboard is fantastic!

I also use the calculator, and stickies the most. I use Abracadabra every once in a great while.

The Viewmy.tv widget looks pretty neat, registration took a little time, the server was pretty slow, I received quite a few errors trying to get an account. Looks neat though!

I've got Dictionary, Translate, and Weather on my Dashboard.
I don't use anything else often enough to make it worth it to keep it up there.

Spotlight does calculations now, which made Calculater.wdgt a waste for my usage.

Gonna have to go with the iCal Events widget. But Web Clips and Package Tracker are great too.

The only widget I use sometimes is the Systran translation widget I got quite some time ago.

At first I would download a whole lot of widgets then I quickly grew tired of them.

Radar in Motion is a must. TV Forecast is pretty useful too.

I have about 8 clocks and weather widgets so I can keep tabs on all of you overseas people. I like the translator and converter so I can go from metric to imperial etc. Mac tip is also pretty cool.

Ok so what time is it here compared to your time, MDDG? I think the difference is 12 hours, is it not?

More like 14 hours isn't it. I note that the temperature was about the same though. It was 2.5 here last night and we are in autumn I think........ no rain though!

Only have 5 left on my Dashboard.

Most used are Dictionary, Wikipedia and Weather.

Yeah I found out that if you have too many on Dashboard at the same time, it takes forever to load.

I thought it was just me. I like neat and it was getting messy. I looked the ones I use and the ones that I think I might use. Got rid of the ones I don't use.

What is long is that I think that some widgets get their info from t3h Internetz so they have to have a connection to a server before they entirely load.

Thanks Kilted I'll have that one. Question - being a mac based forum and being a scott and all, why aren't you MacKilted?

Whenever I order things, usually hockey equipment, I always check the order status multiple times everyday, I'll love this!

Yep, here's a couple of shots of it with info from the Melbourne Airport.

I just put in "Melbourne, AU" in the location field. It has about 10 different weather info points you can pick from. And you can change it to C instead of F, if that's what ya'll use down under.
