Well I went and saw the latest Harrison Ford Indiana Jones film ( Crystal Skull) - today with the family.
It was an entertaining movie with plenty of action and farcical movie story. But all the same it kept us entertained. I had heard mixed reports before we went but I am a firm believer in seeing something that you want even if other give all sorts of reviews. After all we see movies for a number of different reasons. Its just entertainment and fictional after all.
I would give it 7 out of 10 on that basis. I must admit though, Harrison is starting to look old and is showing slowness in his moves.
Should have seen Iron Man me thinks and waited fro this to come out on DVD but the family voted and I was in the minority.

7 thumbs up overall.

Well let's see now... I'll be the first to admit I don't go to theatres anymore. Can't stand getting my eardrums bashed in with all the ads nor can I stand cell phones ringing, people paying no attention to what is up on the screen, etc.

So we rent DVDs. :w00t:

One of the most amazing movies I've seen lately is The Hours (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0274558/) starring Nicole Kidman, Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore.

It's based on Virgina Woolf's last days before her suicide and how her novel "Mrs. Dalloway" affects people.

Excellent actresses at the top of their art in this one.

And she is an Aussie. ( and my mum knows her and her family)

I didn't want to know her when she was married to that lunatic Tom Cruise but now that they're divorced, I am now looking into her work and she is one of the, if not THE most talented actress out there at present.

I saw her in Dogville (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0276919/), a movie directed by Lars von Trier and that was also stunning.

At the beginning, I wasn't sure if I'd get into the movie or not with all that cheap theatre decor but man, I forgot about them soon enough. It was a really good movie.

Iron Man was great. I want to see Step Brothers and The Happening, depending on reviews.

I just saw Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of E.T. this past weekend. As a movie its pretty good. As an Indiana Jones movie, it sucks. Alot.

I thought it was bad enough, it deserved its on post on my blog.

I recently saw American Gangster, great movie. I'm a big fan of Denzel Washington movies, he's a great actor.

I like Denzel but I wasn't a fan of the movie. It was just ok I thought.

I don't think it was my favorite of his, but I thought it was pretty good, a little on the long side haha.

I liked Inside Man, John Q, and Deja vu more than American Gangster.

Watched a DVD last night "Rogue" - An australian film a bout a killer crocodile that eats american tourists in the outback. I was a typical Aussie film. Not great - like jaws but inland.
