WWDC 2008 (http://developer.apple.com/wwdc/) will be held next week.
So, what are we gonna see at WWDC 2008?
We have posted in other threads rumours concerning a .Mac name change, a preview of OS X 10.6 and rumoured code name Snow Leopard, etc.
Ars's John Siracusa posts today his predictions, WWDC 2008 keynote bingo (http://arstechnica.com/staff/fatbits.ars/2008/06/05/wwdc-2008-keynote-bingo).

Notice it says OSX Leopard and not Mac OSX Leopard like 2007? Someone brought that up in the comments.

Hmm what are your thoughts on what this might mean? Apple would allow installs on other hardware than Apple's own?

I believe it's the whole thing they did last time dropping Computer from Apple Computers. OSX is not just for the Mac but the iPhone, ETC.
I Hope I am right anyway!

Just caught this, Apple eyeing Nvidia's CUDA technology? (http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-9962117-37.html?part=rss&subj=news&tag=2547-1040_3-0-5)
Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference is expected to cover the parallel tracks of Mac and iPhone software development, but the company may have another aspect of parallelism to discuss next week.
Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang, in an interview earlier this week, suggested that Apple might have plans for Nvidia's CUDA technology (http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_home.html) as part of the WWDC (http://developer.apple.com/wwdc/) festivities next week. CUDA is a programming technology that allows software developers to take advantage of the unique parallel processing characteristics of graphics processors such as Nvidia's GeForce 8600M, found in the MacBook Pro. Nvidia released a beta version of CUDA for Mac OS X (http://www.macworld.com/article/132278/2008/02/nvidia.html) back in February. ...

I wonder when they'll have the keynote posted on iTunes? I'm sure I'll hear about everything that was in it long before I see it for myself, but the geek in me likes to watch the keynotes.

Oh! If this rumour turns out to be true... Look out world!
Apple Expected to Address IT Concerns at WWDC (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nf/20080606/tc_nf/60183):
Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference next week in San Francisco is widely expected to serve as the forum for Apple CEO Steve Jobs' unveiling of a new 3G iPhone.
So far the company has been able to maintain a tight lid on its iPhone strategy. But one thing is certain: CIOs will be closely following what comes out of the WWDC track devoted to IT, an area in which Apple has long lagged behind Microsoft and its open-source rivals.
In particular, network managers considering the iPhone as a potential Blackberry alternative will be critically eyeing Apple's support for enterprise-class e-mail capabilities. ...

I wanted to add to the speculation since it seems to be the popular thing to do this weekend. My wife asked me if I thought Jobs would be wearing his legendary black turtleneck and jeans Monday with it being summer and all. "I don't think he ever wears anything but jeans," I told her, "but I doubt he'll wear the turtleneck." Was I right or wrong?
