Boy am I tired of hearing about the rumored new iPhone. I've been tolerating this over-sensationalized hype on every tech podcast I listen to for over a month now ... ENOUGH ABOUT THE IPHONE! I played with it last Saturday at the grand opening of the Bridge Street Apple Store in Huntsville and it is a cool device ... but it wasn't that impressive. I liked the iPod Touch better. (If only they'd put 802.11N in the Touch ... I'd buy it!) Anyway, I can't wait until Monday afternoon when the rumors will finally be in the past ... at least until December.

I am a AT&T subscriber but won't be as soon as this contract is up in January. I surely don't want to continue dealing with them just to have an apple on the back of my phone. I wonder when Apple's exclusivity contract is up with AT&T? Honestly, the one thing I would want on it (if I were to actually get one) is to be able to turn off the data. I'd want the WIFI on, but don't want the charges that are associated with a data plan. (Especially from some of the horror stories I've read.)
