 I'm starting to hate summer again. It was 91 yesterday but the heat index brought it up to 95. Humidity sucks. Why did I move to the south???

Where are you initially from, John?

Yeah we're getting sucky weather here too. I can't believe those Formula 1 cars today... their engines are all gonna explode in the race.

Fremont, California ... the bay area. Much different climate than here!

I went to San Fran twenty years ago on a two-week vacation. The plane arrived in L.A. so we first went down south San Diego and even further right close to the Mexican border then we went up north to San Fran.

This was a mistake in a way because we were used to the warmer temps in the South of Cali then San Fran, it was much cooler. We stayed five days in San Fran.

Then we made it back to Santa Monica for the last five days, waiting for the plane to take us back home.

Beautiful sand dunes in San Luis Obispo.

Why did you move to Alabama? Because of your job?

Frankly, we didn't want our kids growing up in California and everything that comes with it. So we moved. We have family out here but, honestly, we suffered from culture shock for the first few years.

I feel for you, John. 'Bama is muggy! Went to college near Chattanooga, but grew up in Tulsa (100°+ and humid.) Now happily residing in the desert ~ all the heat, no humidity!
