Google Launches “Cloud Print” for iOS Devices.

The boys in Mountainvew, California, better known to the world as Google, have launched a new service that allows users to print documents and other content to any printer of their choosing directly from the Google mobile interface.

“Imagine printing an important document from your smartphone on the way to work and finding the printout waiting for you when you walk in the door. Just open a document in Google Docs or an email in Gmail in your mobile browser and choose ‘Print’ from the dropdown menu in the top right corner. You can also print certain kinds of email attachments (such as .pdf or .doc) by clicking the “Print” link that appears next to them.”

Apple Update BootCamp to 3.2

Cupertino has updated the BootCamp software that allows users to install Microsoft Windows on their Macintosh machines. Version 3.2 of the software offers fixes and tweaks as well as performance and stability improvements

iDOS Emulator Supports DOS and Windows 3.0 on iOS Devices Now Pulled

A new application has presented its self on the App Store this week that has been getting the attention from both public and Apple (bad attention from Apple that is). iDOS is a new emulator presented on the App Store that allows users to run Dos and even Windows 3.0 on their iOS devices, (and yes, this is was in the App Store). Are friends over at TouchArcade did some gazing into the application.

Microsoft Bringing Zune to the Mac for WinPhone7 Support?

Interesting find on the Net this week. Oded Ran, they guy who is in charge of marketing for the Windows Phone software in Her Majestys Kingdom, got caught tweeting that the Zune software that has been Windows-only since its debut will be making a new home on Mac OS system near you, that is, if any Mac heads plan on buying a Windows Phone handset.

HP/Palm webOS 2.0 Platform to Take On iOS Later This Year?

After HP mentioned something completely different a couple months ago, we are now hearing that they are planning to take one of their acquired Palm properties, webOS, and is directly pitting it agains Googles and Apples ever-so-popular Android and iOS platforms with their Windows 7 demoed slate. The Windows version of the tablet computer is said to be targeted to the enterprise opposed to the typical consumer.

Mozilla releases Firefox 4 Beta for Mac, Linux and Windows

Mozilla has released the Firefox 4 beta browser yesterday for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. There are some features, however, that are missing in the Mac and Linux interpretation of the web browsing software. These temporary exclusion of the feature are due some details in the browser layout for the platforms that are not quite done yet. Functions like the the Firefox button to initiate commonly executed tasks are only on the Windows version of the software for the time being.

Windows Live is Live in the App Store

There have been many spy shots of Microsofts Windows Live Messenger client coming to the iPhone circling throughout the Internet. Now those shots are made public for the world to see and use. Microsoft Windows Live Messenger is now available on the App Store, just in time for the iOS 4 software release.

MSN Messenger for the iPhone allows you to completely manipulate various aspects of your MSN Live account. You can send messages to people within the MSN network or to those of the Yahoo! Messenger nation. With the new multitasking approach Apple has implemented into the new OS, you can receive local and push notification from the client as updates are being made on the network.

Google Discontinues Use of Windows Software. Now Only Uses UNIX Machines (Mostly Macs)

There has been plenty of rumors swarming around the Internet that Google will not being using Windows machines any longer on the Googleplex “ for that matter, anywhere where Google is located. The rumors are appearing to be definitely true with the news hitting the press. The Financial Times report that the search titan has barred the use of the Windows operating system due to vulnerabilities in security that arose as a virtual attack on the company was made from China. Google is transiitoning all its employees to either the Mac OS or Linux operating system.

VMWare Releases Fusion 3.1 Update

VMWare has now released a new version of their software, Fusion. Fusion 3.1 administers a number of updates including performance enhancements to three dimensional graphics and application response.

More precisely, VMWare has increased the speed of the app 35% higher compared to its previous rendition. The new spike in speed has increased graphics performance by five times greater than the older software as well. Improvements to the Windows Aero scheme of Windows Vista and Windows 7 has been able to take advantage of the speed enhancements showing more natively animated graphics. The update also provides increased application launching and quicker waking of the software from sleep. Overall disk performance has been mentioned as well.

Intros of Safari Extensions at WWDC?

With Googles announcement of the Chrome browser coming out of beta and going stable, Daring Fireballs John Gruber has seem to have cunningly leak some information about Apple presenting an announcement pertaining to Safari. According to the John, he mentions some aspects that are missing from Apples Safari web browser. He then continued in his dialogue, in a wishing and hypothetical manner, speaking about if Apple was to introduce those aspects in a forthcoming event.

The other big thing that’s missing (compared to both Chrome and Firefox) is a proper extension API. If only Apple had an imminent developer conference where they could unveil such a thing.
